Cast Iron Bench Bases Handcrafted in the USA
A bench is a small piece that can say a lot. JCS Casting Co. bench legs have the look of old factory iron, with curved shapes and embossed lettering you’d expect to find on an antique. Put them under a reclaimed wood top at the dining table and they tie right in with a farmhouse or industrial room. Set the same bench in an entryway or at the end of a bed, and it becomes the first piece people notice.
Each pair stands 16.5 inches tall, is made from solid cast iron, and is handcrafted in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pair Your Bench with a Matching Table
Bench legs pair perfectly with our dining table bases. Order both in the same color and you get a matching table and seating set. Build a bench for one side and use chairs on the other, or put benches on both sides for a farmhouse feel.
For a standard dining set, order our 16.5" bench legs and our 28" to 29" dining table base. That keeps the right amount of space between the bench seat and the tabletop.
Adding casters? Put them on both. Casters add about 6 inches, so if only the table gets them, the bench will sit too low to be comfortable.

That leaves about 10 to 12 inches between the seat and a standard dining tabletop, which is comfortable for most people.

Most wood species work well. Walnut, oak, ash, reclaimed lumber, and live-edge slabs are all common choices. The bases hold up to 1,000 lbs, so you’re not limited by material choice.

Yes. A center bar can be added at checkout and helps with long bench runs, especially for benches over 60 inches.

Make your bench about 12 inches shorter than your table so it can tuck underneath. Measure the space between your table legs to make sure the bench fits. Plan on about 24 inches of seat length per person.
